Resa drove up the long driveway and turned off in the direction of her flat. She came upon it quickly, and stopped in front of it and shifted into park. With a glance to Ryan, she removed her key from the ignition and jumped out of the truck, bypassing the runners, her shoes hitting the ground with a small thud.
Resa walked around to the back of the truck and opened it. Eros and Riot jumped down immediately, and Resa waited for Caliban and Conrad. She then closed and locked the truck, moving to her door and bringing Ryan and the dogs with her. She flipped through her key ring quickly and unlocked the door. Eros and Riot rushed in and out into the backyard while Resa turned to Ryan. If you'll wait a minute, I have to feed Flame. Actually, you come with me.
Resa moved into her kitchen area after closing the door behind herself and Ryan and opened her fridge. She removed a alrge piece of raw meat and set it on a plate, and with a smirk directed at Ryan, she moved to the back door, motioning for Ryan to follow. She passed through the door, holding it for Ryan and then letting it swing shut. Resa moved forward to where an enclosure had been created, and from a small shed-like structure in the back was standing, a large mountain lioness stalked forward to greet her owner and get the meat she smelled.
Resa opened the enclosure and motioned for Ryan to follow her in. This is Flame. She's actually having cubs pretty soon. Here: give her her dinner... Resa offered the plate to Ryan with raised eyebrows. What a first impression, eh?

Ryan looked around as they walked through the apartment. It was classy, well planned out and very nicely furnished. He smiled, walking through, past the fridge, as Resa grabbed the foot that was clearly for her mountain lion. He himself owned two dogs and a bobcat. And, although the bobcat was large and fairly dangerous, she wasn't exactly a lion. He gasped slightly, on seeign the great animal, and looked over to Resa, in amazement, admiration and warmth. Then he took a step towards the enclosure, slightly shocked as the big cat walked forward, towards Resa and the dinner.
But soon, Resa had handed the meat to Ryan, and he was in a whole different situation. But he had fed Portia, his bobcat, many times before, and knew how to handle it. He stood tall, as if in command, and lent down only slightly, gesturing to the large feline. He slowly placed down the meat, slipping the plate from under it, standing now, taking a step back, the plate still in his hands, but the meat on the floor, ready for Flame to devour.

Flame watched as a new person set her food down. A slow growl built in her throat, but she kept it from escaping, sensing Resa trusted him. Her shoulder blades rose rather defensively as she stepped forward, ignoring her food, and sniffed the man's hands, and walked a circle around him to inspect him and look for any threat about. Her shoulder blades dropped slightly, but she kept her eyes on him as she ripped into the meat on the ground.
Resa smirked slightly and looked to Ryan. I don't think she likes you too much. She doesn't like your body language. Flame ahd quickly finishe dher dinner and Resa moved forward to greet her friend. The big cat reached out a alrge paw and swatted playfully at Resa, her claws retracted so she wouldn't claw the woman. Resa swated in turn with her hand, and after a few minutes of play she took the plate from Ryan and pulled him out of the enclosure, closing the entrance behind themselves. She waved to Flame, who was now sitting and washing herself.
Resa brought Ryan back inside and put the plate in her dishwasher. The washed the blood from the meat off of her hands and told Ryan to do the same. While she waited on him to do so, she moved across the hall and into her living room. She plopped down on the couch after removing her shoes and coat and grabbed the remote, turning the tv on and glancing on the kitchen, waiting.

Ryan became slightly silent as Resa spoke, nodding. He followed quickly, washing his hands and then going over to the sofa where Resa sat. He hated it when an animal disliked him. He felt as if he had done something wrong, however untrue that may be. He sighed, looking over at Resa, then relaxing slightly, and moving closer to her. He knew it was stupid. It was unlikely that Portia would like Resa, until she had grown to know her. Some animals could be very protective, mistrusting or aggressive with new people.

Resa felt something off with Ryan as he moved closer to her, and she turned to look at him. One eyebrow was cocked as she spoke as she hoped she was right in guessing what he was put-off about. Hon, don't worry about Flame. Your posture said you were in charge, and she doesn't like for anyone to be in charge of her. To her, you're welcome to be an equal or below her, but she won't settle for anyone being in charge of her. She'll probably get over the next time she sees you.
Gee, sounds a lot like you, doesn't it? Shut up... All I'm saying is-- I said shut up. Resa shook herself mentally, ridding herself of conflicting voices as she offered the remote to Ryan. Use your magic powers and find something good to watch. SHe looked at him with a slight smirk, moving closer to lean on him, then turned her attention back to teh tv to see what he'd find.

A warm smile crossed Ryan's face as Resa spoke. He nodded, understanding far better, and kissing Resa's cheek softly. He smiled into her eyes, nodding once more, before whispering.
I love how you already know me
It didn't say much for his personality, but whatever. Ryan smiled as he was given the remote and began to flick through the channels. Stopping occasionally, but soon moving on. James Bond flashed past the screen in some exploding car, and Ryan sighed, pressing another button on the small black remote. Next came the Texas Chainsaw massacre, but Ryan moved on once more. A few random movies, the news, some football programs, it all looked boring. He chuckled, realizing that this was generally what he did every night. Finally, he found CSI : Miami. He loved it, and settled back down into the sofa, putting and arm around Resa, holding her closer. Then, he realized he'd just taken control, and whispered into her ear, a simple question.
My favourite program, do you like it? Want me to change channels?

Resa watched as he flipped through the channels. She smiled when he stopped and kept herself rom shivering as she felt his breath on the side of ehr face. She looked up to him to answer his question. Hell yeah. Who doesn't love the ever melodramatic 'H' and his trusty sunglasses?!
Resa settled into Ryan as the show continued, wondering how late it was and if they'd be watching CSI for the rest of the night. She shifted so she could look up at Ryan's face. Do you know what time it is?

Ryan laughed, almost melting into the sofa, and Resa. He watched scene by scene, Horatio, some weird serial killer, and that strange woman who had a different pair of Gucci and Armarni sunglasses every week. Oh, how Ryan loved Crime Scene Investigation.
He looked across at her as she spoke, and checked his mobile phone quickly. It was almost midnight. And he whispered this, looking itno her eyes, waiting for her response.

Resa nodded and rose off the couch, a little reluctant to leave Ryan. I'll be back in a second... Resa moved into her bedroom and shut the door. She took a moment to do a soundless dance before moving into her bathroom and shutting the door.
In the living room a noise could be heard from the back of the flat, and Eros and Riot came in barking loudly and darting back and forth. In the bathroom, Resa's expression darkened and she put down what she was doing and joggged into the living room.
Resa at Riot and Eros and began to yell in a different language, but not Italian this time; in fact, it was Sioux. Yet another good thing her uncle had done was introduce her to another part of her heritage. Upon hearing Resa, the dogs quieted and stilled, coming toward her and whining.
Resa looked to Ryan with a confused look. Did you hear anything outside besides them? Without waiting for an answer from Ryan, Resa was slipping into her boots and yelled again in an urgent turn, and they at once turned and ran through the dog door and into the night again as she'd told them to. She barely thought to motion for Ryan to follow her, but managed to amidst the confusion in her mind. What had them so worked up? Calling for Ryan to follow her, Resa was already out the door before she could finish saying his name, and she greeted by the dogs, who had been waiting and now set off toward the barn.
((Yay, drama!))

Ryan jumped up as everything began. Noises. Dogs barking, the soft moving of something out back. Then motion. Leaps, jumps, and Resa's frantic jogging. He took a step back, switching the television off, trying to strain his ears into the desolate silence. He nodded softly, having indeed heard something nearby.
Silence enveloped the small house for a moment, before the noise began up again, and Ryan ran over to where Resa was. Together, they ran off towards the barn and boxes. Ryan's heart skipped a beat, his blood racing through his veins. He dreaded the thought of Resa, Conrad, Caliban, Eros, Riot, Flame or any of the horses being hurt. In fact, with all this, his own safety didn't even enter his mind.

Adrenaline had flooded Resa's system and her heart was racing as she followed her dogs to the barn. They'd quit barking, and were now quiet and waiting silently by the side of the barn. As Resa came toward them she froze, hearing a rustling inside.
As Ryan came toward them, Resa put a hand against his chest to stop him and a finger to her lips to tell him to be quiet. Resa carefully moved around the side of the barn and into the aisle. Whatever the noise was, it was coming from a different aisle. Her could hear the pounding of her lood as it was pumped through her body and her breathing was silent as she moved to her office. She let out a sigh of relief when the door didn't creak, and closed it behind her.
Resa didn't know what the noise was. Fromt he noise she could tell it was too big for coon, and the deer were scared of the dogs on the farm, so she wasn't about to take any chances. She hoped Ryan had stayed where she'd told him with the dogs. She opened a drawer in her desk and removed a pistol. She took a second tos top and thank her paraniod tendencies and choice of riding sport before she moved back into the aisle and crouched down slightly to see what the noise was. Her breath caught and she paused as she heard footsteps two aisles away. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. So it was a person, and one the dogs didn't recognize. She continued to move forward silently. Here we go...
((Hmm, I have no plan. Who should it be?))

((Well... Anna sounds good. She can be all shocked about Resa and Ryan and they get can flesh out some of the Aemie tension. Yes?))

Ryan nodded as Resa asked him to stay back. He would take care of the dogs, and try and keep his own under control. He finally managed to control all four creatures, and knelt down by them, murmuring softly. As Resa moved forward with teh gun, Ryan held his breath, looking down at the dogs by his side. The tension grew and grew, the dogs became quieter, Ryan became more anxious and Res got closer and closer. When suddenly...
Holy Fuck
Anna appeared from the bushes, almost screaming in shock as a gun was pointed right at her. However, finally, she saw Resa's face, and reeled back, face pale, breathing heavy and fast paced. Finally, she calmed down, and manged a half smile, and a joke.
Okay, I'm sorry for whatever Ive done, but please, no need for violence!
Ryan basically jumped a foot in the air. The shock echoed throughout this little scene, as finally the attacker made herself clear. However, what was in many cases, even more shocking, was the familiar face of his own sister staring back at him. I mean, lets recall the situation, shall we? Ryan is sitting with a bunch of dogs, watching his girlfriend of one day hold a gun to his sister's chest. Oh shit.
Ryan half laughed on realization that their was no threat. But soon, all he could do was ask questions. He got up, Caliban and Conrad following, and ran over to Anna.
When did you get here? How come your alone? Why are you out so late?
And what the hell are you playing at???

Anna was lucky. Very damn lucky. Lucky that Resa hadn't cocked the gun, because the second she'd come upon anotehr figure, she'd pulled the trigger. Holy fuck was an understatement.
Resa's expression darkened slightly and she brought the gun back, holding her arm by her shoulder so the gun was pointed at the cieling and resting her hand on her shoulder as she watched Anna. The other day with Aemie was still fresh on her mind, and it took a lot not to snarl as she joked.
Resa didn't even blink as Ryan came forward, Riot and Eros following with raised hackels upon sensing their owner's mood. They stoo dby her quietly, though, waiting for a signal from Resa as she watch Ryan and Anna talk.
