Resa stretched herself out in the grass of Pandora’s pasture, closing her eyes against the glare of the sun. She had a student arriving in a few minutes, but she wasn’t ready to do her job just yet. The tall woman finally rose from the ground, making a clicking noise with her tongue. A mare several feet from her turned her head and quietly trotted over, her ears switching away from her owner as she heard the sound of tires. The white mare stood at Resa’s side as the woman whistled and a Paint/Thoroughbred cross came galloping over the hill to greet her, pulling up just in time to keep from crashing into Resa and Pandora.

The riding instructor turned on her heel, not bothering with a halter or lead, knowing the mares would follow like they’d been trained to do. As she approached the barn she pulled at the hem of her black camisole and reached back to pull her long, teal-highlighted black hair into a pony tail. Two canines, Riot and Eros, came running from the tree line far away to greet the new comer they had heard pull up. They were both easily taller the waist of an adult human when they were simply standing on all fours. Eros was a German Shepherd/Wolf mix, and he moved in front of Riot, who was a Keeshond. They were both intimidating, and it was just a good thing Flame, Resa’s mountain lion, hadn’t be out. What a welcoming committee that would be. Welcome to the circus that is Heartlake, and forget about first impressions... Oh. It wasn't who she'd thought it would be. It was Aly. Hmm. That made things a littel easier.

Hi there, Aly. You here for a lesson?

[Aly]

Aly smiled as she saw her friend with the horses. She was ready for her "lesson" today. It wasn't much of one, it was just an excuse to ride til she got her own horse. She then made her was to Resa and hugged her welcomingly and then she stood there, looking at her. She said, "Hello Resa, how is your day going so far? Yeah I am ready for my lesson." She smiled wamringly. Resa was one of her closest and well centered friends. She always would go to her for help. She always put her friends before a guy and she knew that Resa liked Aemie but she didn't let that get in they way of their friendship. She stood there waiting for her instructions.

Resa offered a smile as Riot and Eros reached them, jumping on Aly, who they recognized after a moment, and licking her hands and whining. With a noise from Resa, they quieted and ceased licking, but still remained to snff her legs.

My days been just fine. Lying's bad on the conscience, Resa. You? Without giving her much time to answer, Resa's mind had already moved on, and she was clicking to Pandora, who stepped forward to greet the new person, nudging Aly with her muzzle.You can ride Pandora. All her stuff's in the tack room, and I've already groomed her, so you don't have to do anything but tack her up. Go into the barn and she'll follow you. Resa turned to look at Rebel, who was still standing patiently behind her. Resa led her over to the pasture fence where she'd already brought out the tack and began to tack her up. Once she had Rebel ready she swung lightly into the saddle and waited for Aly to re-emerge from the barn. Riot and Eros stood beside Resa and Rebel, sensing something interesting was up.

[Aly]

Aly smiled as she looked to Pandora, she was a beautiful mare. Then she went to go get all of her tack out of the barn. She then hooked her up to the cross-ties and tacked her up. Patting her, she then took her off the cross-ties as she put on the bridle and the mounted onto the saddle. Today Aly was going to ride english. Smiling, she turned Pandora into the direction of Resa as she stopped next to her waiting for her to lead the way. She knew Resa all to well to know her day was fine. Resa looked troubled and she wanted to know what was wrong. Looking to Resa she said, "Resa I know your day wasn't all fine and dandy, you look troubled what is wrong?" She waited a few moments to see what her answer would be. In the meantime she turned Pandora to the riding ring as she entered it with her, getting ready for a lesson.

Resa repressed a sigh as her eyes cut sideways to Aly. It's nothing you want to hear about, trust me. The older woman tapped Rebel forward with an almost imperceptible movement and they trotted into the arena. As Aly turned her, Pandora mouthed the bit slightly, not used to the motion, as it was harder than how Resa usually directed her, with a barely a touch. She settled into it though, and trotted in after Rebel and Resa, carrying Aly in a fluid gait to the rail.

Resa slowed Rebel to a walk and rode into the center of the arena where she halted her. Her eyes snapped to Pandora and Aly. She knew English wasn't the norm for Aly, so she made sure to soften her directions as she called out to her. Heels down farther, shoulders back, and check your diagonal.

[Aly]

Aly knew that she was a little bit hard at first. She then listened to Resa's direction towards her as she felt a little embarrassed that she had messed up, but hey she was still learning. Shoulders moving back and she softened up on the lead, also she pointed her heels back a little more. She hoped that she would impress Resa with what she had been learning. She was still worried about her friends problem. She wanted to ask more but she decided not to say anything. Concentrating on her conformation with Pandora she kept a looser rein and began to relax a little bit more. She kept Pandora in a walk for a while getting used to how she rode, she started to get her into a trot, but kept her gait a little bit slower but still leaving the reins looser. She was going to get a horse soon, she would probably be riding on Pandora for the last time today. She wondered what was bugging Resa though because she hated to see her friend like that.

((I'm so sorry it took this long for me to reply. I've had exams,a nd I've been completely crazy the past few days. I'll be better, though... ;D))

Resa's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Aly, keeping out the glare of the sun. Shoulders back farther, and scoot back in the saddle some. Don't ride in front of her.

Resa let out a half sigh and moved towards a vertical several feet away. She sat down on the jump, her eyes stil following Aly. Go ahead and ask for the canter. Once you've got the right lead, make a circle. Thoughts flew across Resa's mind as her mind almost mechanically graded Aly. An internal debate worked itself up, but it was short lived. In accordance to part of her mind's defeat, she opened her mouth and spoke to Aly. You know who Aemie is, right?

[Aly]

Aly scooted back in the seat and she let her shoulers back and then relaxed them. After getting comfortable and keeping Pandora into the trot she made sure her lead was right and she asked her to canter. Her passion for horseback riding was deep and she was about to get her own horse soon but she just had to make sure it was the right one. She then looked to Resa quickly and then paid her attention back to Pandora and her gait. Listening to Resa's words she nodded and said, "Yes what about him?" She knew what Resa was about to say, she probably liked Aemie but Aly was starting to get over her crush on him, she had found someone else she liked named Jack.

Rebel tensed slightly beneath Resa when she sensed the emotion come flooding into her. The woman rolle dher shoulders and clearedher throat, calming herself for the sake of her horse.

Resa continued to watch Aly, her eyes snapping about as the other moved various parts of her body. She sorted out her next words in her head before taking a breath and continuing. It took a lot to keep from literally snarling at the thought of the other day.
Do a canter circle, and then switch directions with a flying lead change. Left rein tight and right heel in and Pandora does the rest... Anyway, I like him. Or did, at least. I'm not sure anymore. Anna, however, seems to be very interested. You should have seen her the other day.

[Aly]

Aly kept her attention to Pandora and doing what Resa had told her to. She took the reins and kept the left side tight and her right leg in as she kept her cantering. Afterwards she looked to Resa and then back to Pandora saying, "Well I am sorry to hear about that. What did Anna do the other day? I am interested in Jack this guy that is really cute actually and we are going on a date soon." She began to think about how Resa and Anna supposably were best friends, maybe she was wrong but she had to wonder why two friends would fight over a guy. Friends always came before guys in Aly's book.
