Blue eyes sparkled as she sat on the edge of the lake, dangling her toes in off the dock. She slipped off her shirt to reveal her Billabong bikini top that showed off her toned abs. She kept her board shorts on though. Standing up, she dove head first into the lake.
Bursting through the top of the water, she rested her hands on the dock, tossing her shirt towards the tree so it wouldn't get anymore wet. Taking a deep breath, she dove under the water and stayed submerged for a long time, a good minute, before coming up. She floated aimlessly in the water, enjoying her slim bit of free time that she had before she'd have to get hom to ready a stall for her new colt.

'It musta been a mighty fine day to take to swimin', for another young man had his eye on the water too.
Jeff dove under the water, his denim blue jeans now soaked. He didn't plan to go for a swim, wearing his 'Southern Outfitters' shirt and his best blue jeans. He'd merely been out on a ride when he slipped. Now deciding that he should have been looking, he decided also that a little fun would hurt anyone.
Giving a small gasp for air, he rose from the lakes clear water to find himself close, almost too close to yet another water-goer. She was seemingly motionless, as if she hadn't a care in the world. Sorry. Jeff seemed to state automatically, as if scared he'd hurt the girl.

she glanced around as she heard the other splash. She smirked as she saw that is was a man, a little older then her, who had leaped in, wearing blue jeans. Brow raised and she laughed as she spoke. Swimming effortlessly to the dock, she easily hauled herself up and sat, dangling her feet in the water, letting them trail and play with the small waves. She was tan, that she was, and it wasn't a farmer's tan either, she was brown all over. Eyes glittered and she spoke happily to the other person.
It's fine, you didn't do anything. I'm Kalain, or Kai, whichever you prefer. You ride western?
Running a hand over her wet hair, she wrung it out a bit, though it still dripped. The blue in her hair was completely visible as it had fallen over her blonde. She adjusted her bikini top and sat there, waiting and thinking about her new colt. Giving up on the sun, she slid back into the water and leaned against the pillars of the dock.

Jeff gave a sigh of relife. He'd ran into too many rude people so far. At least she's not one of them. He stated to himself, and gave a small laugh.
The english saddle hates me. Of course. That's the only way I ride.
He stated. He failed to mention he had yet to find a horse, but he decided that it didn't really matter at the moment. He'd just arrived in Heart Lake Valley, and he didn't know anyone, so any mention of a stable was completely out of range at the moment. He didn't even have a job...Yet.

She smiled as he spoke and released a sweet, little giggle. Her blonde hair floated a bit in the water, the blue fanning out. She darted out into the water farther, swimming quickly like the skilled swimmer she is. Reaching the middle of the lake, she smiled and called back to him.
Finally. Somebody else who hugs my style. I run barrels and rope, now I'm starting to do working cow horse. What about you?
She floated in the middle of the lake, the water was deeper and it was cooler. The sun finally rose to where she wanted it and she sighed. She eyed her shirt and decided it wouldn't matter if she lost it, she was wearing ample enough clothing. She eyed her palomino gelding as he stood ground tied behind the tree in a halter only, a rope halter at that. His eyes were half closed.
Smirking, she watched him. His eyes opened and he lazily walked to the lake, taking a long drink. Blue eyes sparkled and he flicked his cream tail. He would never know how many comments she had gotten about the two of them being identical. She didn't care. He could run and stop a steer. As he finished and walked back to the tree to stand in the same spot he had been, Kay swam back to the dock and leaped onto it, dangling her feet again. She wrung out her hair and sat there, waiting. Maybe he'd want to come back and ride at her place. Harper saw her get out and he jogged to the end of the grass, where it met the dock. Ears pricked, he waited for her to finish. He was hungry.

Jeff dove under the water, following the female in an emotionless manner. He poped above the water just in time to catch her question. He was a rather clumsy swimmer, and decided to stand instead of try and go into the deeper depths.
Well, if I had a horse I'd barrel race, team pen, and pleasure ride.
He replied.
[Sorry it's so short! =P]
