Hip-hugger jeans and a black deep-v-necked tee with the scrawled lettering 'bite me' clung to the slim figure of Morgaan, her stride confident and strong, blonde tresses cascading over her shoulders and wavering in the wind. Those very strands of hair covered up a dark secret on her right side of her jaw, a dark black and blue bruise that had only begun to heal, evidence of her past relationship with a woman-abusing rapist. Oh yes, he tricked her into believing that he loved her, and raped her. Isn't that nice?. Flicking back a stray strand of hair with her black-polished fingernails, she became stationary, the sound of clip-clopping hooves echoed behind her, a white arabian mare with a pink nose sauntered up behind her. Morgaan didn't seem suprised, and for good reason, the mare was her horse. Twirling around on one of her skate shoes, she faced the little arabian. "Break out again did we, Echoe? They need to make that fence taller. Hmph." running her slender digits down the mare's back and neck, she gripped a handful of white mane and swung up, her dark denim jean clad calves clapping gently against the mare's sides, sending her immediately off at a relaxed canter. Morgaan curled her legs and gripped tightly, setting herself into a jockey positon over the mare's slim neck, whispering into the wind, "fly Echoe." The mare lunged forward, lengthening and heightening her stride into a flying gallop, her dished face held high upon her arched neck, the long threads of mane streaming in Morgaan's face.
Fifteen minutes passed, Echoe began to tire and Morgaan settled back into her normal riding position, her eyes blurred with tears from the wind that forced them to water, her eyeliner smeared slightly. Petting the arabian mare's shoulder and neck gently with affectionate strokes, she glanced at her surroundings, she was on the opposite side of Heart Lake, the township was directly across the horizon. "Crap." she mumbled, realizing she wouldn't be back at her little house 'till late, and the food she had stuck in the oven would be stone cold and disgusting after the timer went off. Muttering softly, she bent down and wrapped her arms around the bridge of Echoe's neck, leaning on the beautiful mare. Trusting the small horse to take her home. Hopefully she'd get some company on the way back, she hadn't really 'socialized' in a good long while. Not that she trusted anyone but her horse anymore. Not that she cared about anyone anymore after her stupid 'boyfriend' raped her and dumped her.
