There's no safety nets here There's no safety ropes attached You are sick of falling down There's no safety nets here There's no safety ropes attached You are sick of falling down
Resa accepted her coat from Ryan and went ahead of him outside after he'd payed. She waited for him to follow and heard his question. She'd cocked her head to the side slightly as she considered,
Hmm. What a decision, eh? At home, with the animals, Ben and Jerry, and CSI: Miami? Or at home with an attractive, not to mention nice and smart guy? The fact that she'd just met him was somewhere in the back of her mind, but she made sure it stayed there. She may have just met him, but she trusted him already, and that was saying a lot for Resa. Besides, she wasn't really known for her extreme measures of safety when it came to herself. So, yeah, why the hell shouldn't she abandon the CSi's for a few hours?
This whole thought process had taken up the span of several seconds. Lucky for Resa she could think fast. She straightened up again and looked up to meet Ryan's eyes again. You wanna head back to my place?

I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has passed Oh God it feels like forever But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head
Ryan smiled as Resa spoke, and, once she had finished, he nodded, the smile growing warmer. He took Resa's hand in his, and headed through the door. The afternoon sun was steadily leaving, and the winds flooded through the streets, giving everything a coat of icy chill. Ryan shuddered slightly, and woudl have offered Resa his coat, if she didn't have one of her own. He chuckled slightly, and released his grip on Resa's hand, instead placing his arm around her waist. He looked at her for a moment, hoping that was not to pushy of a gesture.
He said nothing, but looked deep into Resa's eyes for a moment, and found himself tilting his head slightly, as if to kiss her. But he waited, seeign what she would do in response.
How do you feel? That is the question But I forget you don't expect an easy answer When something like a soul becomes initialized And folded up like paper dolls and little notes You can't expect a bit of hope So while you're outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what you're staring at is me

Slappin' leather was devised During a wild streak in her life She has a cheap apartment Up on Royal Street She brought home just enough To keep her on her feet She don't believe in anything But it you ask her, she'll say There's plenty of things to believe in
Resa smiled as Ryan nodded, and as they passed through the door, she closed ehr ees briefly against the wind, looking soemthing like a cat that had been disturbed while sleeping. She frowned slightly when Ryan let go of her hand, but her expresion righted as he put an arm around her waist.
As they stood still, Resa looked over Ryan's face in turn, watching as he tilted his ehad but then stopped. She shifted slightly onto ehr toes so she was a little bit taller and met lips. After a mment she drew back a little, her voice a whisper. Don't wait next time... Ready to go?

Ryan felt the kiss fully and held Resa by the waist, enjoying that moment. He smiled softly as she spoke, blushing slightly. He nodded in reply, and kept on arm around Resa, waiting for her to lead the way. Darkness fell softly around the pair, and the atmosphere grew colder still. Ryan kissed the top of Resa's head, looking around, almost longingly into the night's sky. It was so incredibly beautiful. Just like Resa beside him.
He sighed, every breath her took a large gesture, his chest straining slightly with the cold air. Ryan looked down at his feet,. which weer adorned with slip on vans. They were nice, but not exactly perfect for the weather. A thin layer of water ran through the streets, left from the heavy showers of the previous days. The rain had been hard, and lasted well into every night. Thunder and Lightning had adorned the sky, but now, it was silent. As if making the way for the couple walking the streets now.

Resa smiled as they turned to walk down the street. She looked up at the stars and the bone-chilling cold seemed to disapate. They could be so kind, and other times so cruel. With a slight smile, she looked down to the sidewalk, sighing a little.
Resa looked to Ryan, thinking for a moment before turning again and walking down to where her car was parked. I have a flat out at the barn, so we're headed to Heartlake... When enjoyed Ryan's warmth as they walked to the car, and was disappionted when they had to seperate to get in the truck. She unlocked it and was greeted by Eros's barks as he came forward to lick her face. Resa laughed and pushed him into the back again with the other dogs as she slid into the driver's seat and closed her door, waiting for Ryan to get in. She slid the key into the ignition, giving the engine a moment to warm up before turning the heat on and pulling out.

Ryan nodded, and reluctantly let Resa go, to move into his passenger seat. He knew the gentlemanly thing to do would be to offer to drive, but eh sensed that Resa was sure as hell independent enough to manage. That was one of the many things he loved about her. Silence fell between them for a moment, before they were greeted by the loud greetings of their canine friends. Ryan patted Caliban and Conrad, then turned, wondering whether or not to return the greeting to Eros and Riot. He tried, holding out a hand, twisting in his seat, to look from the dogs to Resa and back.
