Sedona Carmen Marshell
Sedona, Marshell, Bandit, Carmen(only by family)
28
Female
She's been riding her whole life.
Sedona is the kind of person you recognize as one you should stay away from if you can help it unless she sees you as a friend or someone she’d like to know. You have to know how to handle her. Her eyes are a dark blue grey shade and her face is framed by a strange shade of auburn-tinted black hair that’s wavy when loose. When she’s riding, it’s in a braid or held in its place, for the most part, by a cowboy hat.
Sedona’s clothes of choice at the barn are usually fitted button-up blouses, either solid or plaid, under a leather vest and long either tan or black duster that falls mid way down her calves. The tops of her boots are covered by jeans, and everything about her seems well-worn and wise. She’s always watching something or someone, and often looks either pensive or amused by some secret God’s decided to share with her.
Sedona isn’t quite the norm, as you can probably gather by now. As far as music goes, she enjoys country, Texas swing, and things of that sort. Her clothes have already been described, for the most part, seeing as she’s usually at the barn. Other times, however, she abandons her dusters for long sweaters over tank tops and tight jeans or tight graphic-t’s with tight jeans and a leather jacket and boots for when she rides her motorcycle. She reads all the time, and reads all sorts of books. She’s extremely smart, in both book sense and common sense, and can answer just about any question you ask her. She’s traveled all over, and speaks several different languages, although you might not think so from seeing her around the barn. She’s biker meets cowgirl meets southern belle meets intellectual.
Sedona likes to watch things. She always has, and she always will. She’s actually perfected it. She can obviously watch someone, or make it look like she’s completely enthralled with something else while noting every move someone makes. She enjoys figuring things out, and is good at it. She has the tendency to dislike certain people when she meets them, and can sometimes be blunt almost to the point of cruelty. She holds a sort of vindictiveness towards those she doesn’t like.
Sedona is witty, to say the least, and knows her way around a come-back. However, if it’s possible to avoid a fight with her, you should. Stubbornness comes with the territory, and she doesn’t back down, even if she knows she’s wrong. Something small can turn into a fist fight pretty quickly, and once it gets that far it’s not about who’s wrong or right to her; it turns into who’s going to win and who’s going to lose.
She’s not someone who’s going to take any shit at all, so don’t even think about trying it. She can take care of herself easily and knows pretty accurately when someone’s lying to her. She doesn’t like to be messed with, and if you do mess with her, you can be sure it won’t be for long. She can be amazingly nice and you can feel completely secure with her, and then the next she’ll be making you feel like you’re getting closer and closer to somewhere you don’t want to be. She’s completely dependable in every way, and if you’re stuck, she’ll get you out of the rut in a flash. She’s good at understanding and connecting with people of all ages. She’s very versatile, almost a split personality, except without all the strange psychopathic killings. As I’ve said before, very dependable when you need it most, but if you’re not on her side, she’ll rip the rug out from underneath and have you pinned before you know you’re on the ground (Metaphorically speaking, if you’re lucky…). She’s got a sardonic whit that no one is immune to, and plenty of obscure references to throw at you.
Sedona was born in the south, somewhere in between the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee and the mountains of east Tennessee. The country and the mountains were her refuge, and still are, as well as her animals. However, being the restless person she is, she moved out west and actually began a life of crime in Arizona and Nevada. No one here knows that, and she’s going to keep it that way. The things she did weren’t horrible, though; they were actually good in many ways. However, I’m sure she wouldn’t want me divulging her secrets to strangers like this, so I’ll move on. Her restiveness presented itself once again and she moved back to Tennessee. Being brought up in an southern Irish family strongly in touch with their roots, she couldn’t stay away from home, from the land she missed. The west had been dust and rocks and the green wasn’t the same as it was back home. Land is the only thing that ever remains, that’s ever constant; that’s what Sedona had been taught and it was what she had learned in her own time. She moved to Georgia for a while, but found it wasn’t quite right for horses, and eventually ended up here in Heartlake Valley.
