Owner's Name:
Aemie Stuart
Show Name:
Folly's Fancy Tequila
Stable Name:
Tequila
Additional Nicknames:
Tiki, Teeks
Age:
10
Gender:
Mare
Years of training:
7
Breed:
Quarter Horse
Coloring:
Golden buckskin, black points. Black legs, muzzle, ear tips, mane and tail.
Disciplines:
Hunter/Jumper, Show Jumping
Personality:
Tequila is a fun mare with lots of personality. She's sweet and loving, but at the same time can be nasty if provoked. She gets attached easily to one person or one horse, and is very sad if pulled away from them. She's a nipper at times, especially when being tacked up. She loves doing gymnastic patterns like bounces or one stride jumps. She will do anything for a treat, and will whinny until she gets one if she knows you have it.
On the off chance she is taken to a show away from home, she gets a little excited. She has to be lounged or chased before shows, or she'll be riled up for the show. She gets wiggy outside, and seems as if she's an entirely different horse. Aemie sometimes claims she's bipolar.
History:
Aemie came across Tequila at a horse sale at the college he went to. Cazenovia had yearly horse auctions, and he was fortunate enough to have enough money to go the year Tequila was there. It was three years ago, and the training the mare had wasn't great. However, in three years of hard work, Tequila was an entirely new horse. She didn't have the trouble with lead changes she used to have, and she wasn't heavy on the bit any more. The two formed a strong bond that carried them through shows and the ranks.

Owner's Name:
Aemie Stuart
Show Name:
Shades of Midnight Glory
Stable Name:
Noir
Age:
9
Gender:
Stallion
Years of training:
7
Breed:
Friesian
Coloring:
Completely Black
Disciplines:
Dressage
Personality:
Regal, commanding. Noir demands attention at the drop of a hat. He seems as if he's spoiled rotted, which he really isn't. He simply thinks he is. Aemie doesn't treat him any different than Tequila or any other horse he's ever ridden. Under saddle, Noir is regal and flowing, behaving wonderfully as if anything prior to the ride had never even happened.
He doesn't spook easily and seems to have nerves of steel. Which is good for dressage because an off movement can be the difference between a 80 or a 60 percent. Noir strives for excellence and he knows when he's won. His pride doesn't come between the bond between him and his rider however. Noir is affectionate and loving when outside of the show ring. He loves mares, naturally, but he won't go after them unless they show him interest. Especially under saddle.
History:
Noir came to Aemie as a gift from his parents. The stallion was imported into the country from Holland for the boy's 25th birthday. He was flown in and arrived in New York city where he was quarantined before being allowed into the USA. After he was cleared, he was passed on to Aemie. Aemie completely fell in love with the horse instantly. The big stallion was nothing but a love bucket and took to Aemie immediately. In a year, they have both grown close and Aemie has been successful in continuing the stallion's extensive training. They now compete at third level.
