Personality : Ches tends to be very shy, and extremely skittish around people she doesn't know, namely; anyone but Sam. She's extremely protective and won't let anyone near her she doesn't trust. Ches is also shy and skittish even among other horses. This is mostly because of her history, and also in part to the fact that she is pregnant and due to foal soon.
Ches adores Sam, and would go to any lengths to please him. He has earned her trust through heard work and diligence, and given her the best home she's ever known, though that isn't saying much, considering where she came from. She isn't super athletic, though can be a great little jumper, and is broken in both English and Western. This mare has had some rough times, but earn her trust and you'll never again go without a friend.
History : Ches has been bought and sold so many times over the course of her life that no one has even bothered to count. The longest time she's stayed in one place was her last home, which was (at least we certainly hope) her worst. Sam saw her at an auction house, and when he bought her, she was in such bad condition he got her for only a few hundred dollars. She was far too thin, malnutritioned, and her coat was layered with grime, and dried blood from open sores. It is worth mentioning that at the time, she was 4 months pregnant. Sam bought her knowing that she may not make it, and willing to give her anything it took to help get her through and give her as good a life as a horse can get. He earned her trust while healing her, and the two became inseparable. Sam would rather die than leave her behind.
