Name : Arlyn Mae Hart
Nicknames : Arlie
Age : 21
Gender : female
Years of riding : Since she was 8.
Appearance : Arlie is very petite, standing roughly 5'2". (or that's what she tells people. She's really 5'1 1/4", but hey, who's being specific?) She is trim and slender, though stronger than she looks, from spending too much time than is healthy around the horses. Many take her for vulnerable and weak, due to her size and figure, though they usually are not allowed those opinions for long.
Arlie bears a soft, full mouth, usually stretched in a wide grin. Her brilliant green almond-shaped eyes are fringed by long, thick black lashes. High cheekbones support a long, strong nose and thinly arched eyebrows. She has long, auburn hair that falls to her mid-back. She usually pulls it back in some fashion, though it never stays that way for long, allways seeming to come loose, most of it flying around her face.
Style : Arlie is most often seen in faded blue jeans and a t-shirt, even in the winter. She goes barefoot whenever possible, wears her ankle-high padock boots when it's not. Arlie listens to whatever musicis abailable, adoring simply the sound of it. The only thing she resents is country and pop. Even a little country is fine, but that's a very small little.
Personality : Arlie tends to be rather outgoing, and is friendly to just about anyone. Shyness was never really a problem for her, and she is never afraid to speak her mind or opinions, of which she has many. Arlie is very quick-witted, and learns fast. She absorbs everything she hears, and is very aware of the world outside her own four walls.
Although generally pleasant to everyone, she does not open herself up to any but her closest of friends. More at home with horses than humans, most of her favorite acquaintances tend to be four-legged. Arlie has spent much time on the stage, and happens to be a bit flamboyant, even goofy, if the mood strikes her so, and is always good for a laugh. However, never should her happy nature be mistaken for all peaches and cream, she is a force to be reckoned with if provoked.
Arlie is stubborn and proud, willful enough to carry on her point, even if it is already lost; the type of person to argue a matter into the dirt, simply as a matter of pride. She is a faithful friend, and a fiercely loyal ally, one who will defend her friends and her beliefs and oppinions to the death.
History : Arlie was born and raised in a small town in New England, nothing much to look at, not worth any recognition. In fact, if the name was mentioned, most people shake their heads, even if they themselves grew up just one state over, or nearby. the kind of town that you can drive through one day, blink, and have missed the whole thing. With two younger brothers, always playing some sport or another; soccer, gold, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, one even tried the swim team one summer; Arlie never really took to athletics. Preferring the arts; particularly music and drama, although she is quite fond of sketching; she studied music and drama relentlessly. She's played the flute since the 3rd grade, learning guitar and piano along the way. When she started up doing drama in high school, Arlie began taking voice lessons, so not to humiliate herself on stage during the once-a-year musicals.
Arlie has always harbored a deep love for horses, and began riding when she was 8. She was taught English schooling, which she practiced relentlessly, often arriving to rehearsals with horsehair stuck to her bluejeans and a bit of straw in her hair. She harbors a passionate enjoyment of working with stubborn horses, as she is so similar to them herself. Arlie currently shows in dressage and jumping, though enjoys pleasure and trail more than anything.
Accommodation : umm...is it possible to have a stable of my own, or shall I board somewhere and live elsewhere? Sorry, new here, but the place looks fantastic!
