a l l e y catching your eye
slim figuire, 19 years young. She moved with ease, a bounce to her long strided step. Tassels bounced gently, and smile was worn. Optics of beautiful hazel were shimmering, shinning brightly with the hope of a place to call her home. Tresspassing, call it what you want... the adventurous teen had looked over the stables and was smitten with the place at once. Even if it was a ranch, maybe they would laugh at her. Part of her feared the reality but another wanted the humbleness this place had, all her life she had worked and trained for high class stables. Paid lots of money to have her horses in a high class busy place, and now as she settled out on her own, the lower key humble ranch seemed nice. The lands were gorgeous and the barn stunning, but there was something about it that drew her nearer. Bounding down the stone path to the house before her she realised it was too late now, too late to turn back. Bounding up the last few steps, she stood still at once. Hands tucked her tassels of a golden shade, smile was bright as she took a breath and dared to knock on the door.
Eyes glanced back to the driveway, her pickup was pulling her larger trailer. She heard calls from within, looking back she smiled and whistled to her horses. Many hours she had driven to get this far, to recieve this chance. Attention fell upon the door and bell once more, she waited patiently. Out of a habbit her pumas tapped the ground and she fumbled with her sweater and tank, looking down she glared at her ripped and faded jeans. Facade jerked up as she thought she heard another, looking to the door she once again regained her composure. Hair was fixed and hands grasped eachother in attempt to stop fiddling, waiting patiently the femme of 19 years, awaited her faith to open the door. Last thoughts ran through her pretty head as she remebered what she had left behind...

Kay had been browsing sales pages, looking for a quality youngster to add to her small, but growing, ranch. She heard the bell and got up. Pulling on a shirt over her tank top, she tied back her hair neatly and walked down the stairs. That's what she needed, a dog. A ranch dog. She flipped off the lights and inhaled deeply. She heard sounds outside and then she heard Harper scream an answer. That gelding. Reaching the door, she pulled it open and smiled warmly to the girl before her. Kay's worn jeans and western boots seemed an instant contrast to this other girl.
Hey. Those must be your horses, screaming and complaining. I'm Kalain, or Kay, or Roper, whichever you want. Do you want to some inside, or go unload your horses?
Her heavy Texas accent was obvious as she spoke but she was warm, friendly, like they'd known each other their whole lives. Smiling, she moved over so that she could come in if she wanted to.

behind the door came steps, smile was all i could do. Suddenly there as a femme infront of me, tall and thin tassels similar shade to mine, i geussed she was not much younger than me. As i looked to her eyes full of fun and adventure i smiled even more. Her accent was a warm surprise, i know mine was nothing strong perhaps a tinge of southern to it but nothing as strong as hers. My skin of silk felt hot and warm as she was so kind to me, optics looked back to the trailers barley able to make out the shapes of the quines that no longer called to me. There was no rocking of shifting of the trailer, hopefully they had settled once more. Glare was returned to her, my eyes of hazel were kind and facial features welcoming, for a moment i thought, hand ran through my hair as i spoke my regular tone so sweet and full of fun...
after this drive, i would love to come in! oh yes, they definatly tell me when they are bored, but there fine. Im Alley, its nice to meet you Kay.
As the femme moved aside, i stepped in looking around i was impressed. This place was much nicer than what i had back home, my parents house had scared me. the cleaning people they went through was insane, but this was simple and neat. I stood smiling not certain what to do, I was always quite akward in peoples houses at first, never wanting to do something wrong. Looking to her, with a smile i waited patiently, something i did well. My heart pounding slightly and i was not certain why, but as i glanced around once more I started to calm abit, what had come over me?

Blue eyes glittered as she came inside and she shut the door. Turning the air down one notch, it kicked on and started running. She walked past her and into her office that held the computer. Clicking a few things briefly, she came walking back and motioned to the large leather sofa.
Go ahead and sit down. Make yourself at home. Do you want anything to drink? There's some rootbeer, pepsi and water bottles if you want one.
She turned on her heels and walked back into her office. Snatching up some papers she glanced over them carefully and laid them on the counter. They were of no importance really, they were registration for an upcoming production sale of a nice ranch. She grabbed a few contracts for Alley and walked back into the living room, setting the sale papers on the counter and holding out the contracts to Alley.
These are for you. Basically the rules and a thing to sign saying you agree to them yadda yadda. I think there's also what you want them to be fed, if you want turnouts, riding ectera. Any questions just ask.
Smiling warmly, she sat down in the large recliner and picked up the sale catalog. Highlighter in hand, she began glancing through the sale, highlighting potiential buys.

smile had yet to leave me, carefully i slipped out of my pumas. I was glad that even in the long hours i had worn the shoes, no smell was eveident. My eyes followed her as she moved, and i too followed like a lost kitten, a leather couch was pointed out to me and i was relieved. The seat in my truck was nice, but compared to this leather couch well it was nothing. My mind raced as she entered her office, i realised i had much to do! Frusterated sigh came over me and I sat down, her vocals came as no surprise to me, something i was good at was taking things as they came and rarley being startled i spoke my vocals smooth and kind, respectful as usual...
thanx, a bottle of water would be great! By the way, your house is gorgeous
sitting on the couch i allowed my legs stretch out straight, it felt good to be able to relax, not have to stare at the stretch of road for any longer. The kind femme disapeared into her office and I waited patiently, smile had yet to leave me. This was a good day for me, i was happy and energetic, much better than i had felt in a while. Perhaps the thought of a new adventure, a new start with no harsh expectations was a promise that made me more like me. Hands were folded in my lap, she came out with forms i knew this was coming and i was ready as she spoke. Looking to her kind optics i was warmed, the lovley hue of blue was much like my good friends. Mine of hazel always bore a twinkle, a hint of adventure and mystery, it was something not too many people noticed about me. I grasped the forms and read them over, my vocals hit the air once more a sweet symphony...
deffinatly, just to let you know... they are both kinda personell, the mare is fine with people just no overly friendly, but my stud is a busy body always chewing his lead! hes not a problem just be careful cause he will chew anything! As for turnouts im not fussy or anything, thanx so much for taking me right away, i wasnt certain what i would have done without a barn right away!
I smiled warmly, and my hand grasped a pen as i continued to read over the papers, Absolute was really not a problem, he just needed to be amused or working when he was being handeled, usually giving him his lead rope was good enough, and as for sweetie she was just a little off about some people, especially men. I was certain the femme would be fine with both of them, and soon enough they would treat her like a second mother. My long tassels fell into my face as i finished up by signing my name, pushing them away i looked up and spoke once more...
there ya go, think i got it all!
i held out the forms for her to grab and file, if she was anything like me they would be lost forever by the next morning, but perhaps she was better with stuff like that, more like my best friend back home. For a moment my face cast down like a shadow as i thought of Mel once more, optics of hazel looked to the bracelet i wore. A horses head of fine arabian build and an A, gifts we had exchanged before I ran away, fleeing from my problems. Optics found hers once more and a smile took over my sweet face, waiting for her reply...

Smiling i got up and grabbed two water bottles, one for her and one for me. I gave her hers as i took the signed papers from her. I popped open a file cabinet and placed them in a folder. Getting up, I slipped on my Rocky boots and peeked through the window. I noticed my gelding was in his paddock and he whinnied, seeing my face. Smiling, I turned to her and spoke.
It's no big deal. We've got empty space. They sound like they'll be fine. I've dealt with worse, trust me. Growing up on a five hundred acre cattle ranch, sometimes the geldings don't always want to be caught and the stallions need their mares. Come on, let's go get them out and put away.
I slowly opened the door and whistled. My palomino gelding raised his white face, blue eyes glittered. Ears pricked, he screamed and stomped a foreleg. Shaking his head, cream colored mane fell everywhere and his stockings glittered a shining white. Smiling, I walked out of the door, holding it open for Alley.
